Me too, and the Internet is a great valve for letting off steam about "issues", but the reality is that people are only compelled to wear a helmet and that is probably the only thing "Joe Public" would notice is missing.

There's positive ways of pimping gear and a couple of those is leading by example and discussing gear rationally when approached.

Pointing at the unbelievers and yelling "Burn Them!" is getting a bit old.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

A 'beginner's guide to gear' just made the agenda for my next conversation with the Ed.

Don't get me started on the mouth-breathing pond scum that push trolleys....

I'd say the house, the car and half your salary some 3 years down the line

...that is IF you manage to get it out of the shop.

Safety gear not adequate though. Vinyl can give nasty burns as well.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

I'd say you are correct. Cheaper to go hire an escort.

Speaking of not using proper riding gear.

Saw a nice MV Agusta on my way to uni today. Was dismayed to see the "cool guy" on the bike wearing shorts and t-shirt. Would have thought he could afford some gear to go with the bike really.
There are simply heaps and heaps of people around Chch like that these days though (and I do not mean people with MV Agustas).
