    Macduck stuck

    Hi all,
Macduck has just landed in Welly to join the cheesecutter ride tomorrow, only to discover that his chain and sprockets are very near the end of their serviceable lives. He may need to leave his bike down here until the bike shops open on monday to get it all replaced. Plan A is getting the bits from TSS tomorrow if Stu is opening. Plan B involves the possibility that someone down here has some second hand sprockets that will get him home on Sunday. Plan C involves getting the job done on monday then heading home. Any one out there got some sporockets he can try? The current ones are missing a few teeth.
Edit: His bike is 1991 suzuki katana 250. Jap import retro style.

Just keep the chain a little bit tighter than normal itl be sweet. Chains are pretty damn strong and a couple missing teeth wont make any difference, unless it starts jumping on the sprockets then your`ve got a problem.

Cheers for that Baz. We've had another look. He's got about 6 teeth that are not teeth anymore but it might get him home with some careful riding. Will see what happens. Best option would be to get it done. No fun riding back while being worried about potential gear failure.
The cheese cutter ride thread is here. http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=59598 Meet at the sandbar or TSS at 10.30 tomorrow.
