I reakon if I could feel a bit more confident on a cruiser i would ride a Harley as well as a sport bike....the only reason I havent ridden on one is cos I stuffed up on my basic handling course on a cruiser (around the cones) and it kinda put me off cruisers...I sat on a freinds Harley and got a feel for it....but never rode it cos that knocking over the cones thing has put me off. But I think they are awesome....maybe oneday I will Hailwood

actually ive become rather snobbish sad to say but here is the reason why. over the last week ive found ive stopped waving/nodding to certain riders, mainly the ones who are obviously commuters and thats all. i reckon i can spot them pretty well and i just dont bother waving/nodding cause i dont feel that they are there for the riding or that they are much in the way of enthusiasts. who knows??? maybe they have a ducati sitting at home? but for me id only ride the best i could afford everyday. so sorry to the commuters out there that dont receive my wave. but its not like you guys put it out there either so its obvious your all about the practicality of transport.![]()

I think I'll start a new trend here in NZ by copying the froggies and sticking my leg out! Zut alors, c'est incroyable... un motard Francais a la Nouvelle Zelande? Mais non...c'est "ceebie treize" il n'est pas Francais, il est une pomme de terre. Rock sur!!!![]()

"Is Zut then, it incredible… a French motorcyclist with the Zealand News? But not… it is “ceebie thirteen” it is not French, it is a potato. Rock'n'roll on!!"

I nod to all bikes I notice, it was one of the first things I picked up when I got my license at 15. I thought it was great how other riders would do this. I had left scooters off my nod list until recently when someone told me they give it to "anyone on two wheels". And yeh kids love it when they get a wave/two handed wave etc
Funniest nod ever was when I was, dare I say a passenger in a cage (back seat) a racy bike comes up behind us so I turn round to look and give him the nod out of habit and get one in return. They could probably guess that I was a fellow two wheeler in disguise.
well mate no need to apologize, riders will assume you didn't see them or are perhaps just a snob.
yes I do use my bike to commute, I use my bike for everything and always have. bikes are my only and preferred form of transport and always have been. This also means I ride every day rain, hail or shine.
