I will however always check if there is a problem if someone on a bike is pulled over on the side of the road, assuming it is safe for me to stop.

no i'm not worried about it, makes no difference, just commenting on how it seems to have changed, maybe biking has alot more people who have chosen bikes as a cheap form of everyday transport rather than a hobby/passion/obsession. maybe i'm wrong, just making a comment thats all.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Yep, that's the one I've always used. Though some folk pat their helmet instead.

I noticed that hand signal a few times and didn't know what the hell it was. I assumed it meant cops near by but I never saw cops so I thought they were just cowboys

...realised I have been lifting my left hand up and waving... but no bugger can see because I never bothered lifting my hand high enough above the screen... ....better than a nod and feeling like a chicken.

    Bruck bruck!

Don't let them ground you down ...lol.

It's not a dumb idea, just one that is hard to put into practice. The only easy recognisable wave i can think of is a touch of the helmet. I'd really like to know how many KBers I'm passing when out touring

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    It's a terrible idea.

What's wrong with just letting person go for a ride?

I don't flap my hand at other pedestrians.

I always wonder if the other chap nodded, or he just went over a bump?

I always nod / wave. I tend to favour the salute over the nod, If im not using my hand.

Oh so it's not just me! I went for my first ride in years the other day and noticed the same thing. When I use to have my GSX-R in the 90s the majority of people waved/nodded. Now it seems the exception rather than the rule.
