Yeah, I've been involved in this discussion a couple of times now. Someone usually ends up getting pissed off then it's been fun to wind them up a bit more But it's got a bit monotonous for me now and I can't really be bothered anymore Maybe if another fight starts, I might come back for wee play

In the meantime wave if you want, don't if you don't want, but I'll keep waving :spudwave:
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

The way I see it, when someone waves to me and I miss waving back I feel bad.

So when I wave to another biker and they don't wave back I don't feel bad, I just think they must be feeling bad as they missed the opportunity to wave to a fellow biker.

Me too,it's bizzare so many people get wound up about it,what the hell - it's got nothing to do with riding a bike.I guess it's a social thing, and I'm not into any social activities at all.

I just went from christchurch to dunedin and back, and I found it was the hunched over supersports riders who didn't wave.

I must have seen over two hundred riders and only a few didn't wave though. We're so friendly in the south you know...

If your Wave / Don't Wave thought process goes a bit like this...

"Oh boy! Another biker coming my way!"
"Guess I better break out a wave..."
"But wait! What if they don't wave back?"
"I could look like a total retard"
    "..."
    "They're getting closer!"
"Um... I'll wave... no wait for the other dude to go first..."
    "..."
    "He's not waving..."
    "..."
"Oh fuckit, this is stupid... just wave dammit"
"But maybe they'll think I'm someone they know..."
    "Alright, that's it I'm waving"
    "..."
"Only 20 metres left to go. Why won't they wave to ME???"
"Here goes... I'm waving! I'm really waving!!!"
"Wh~ where'd the road go! Arrrgh..."

...you need to think less ~ lay of the green stuff and hopefully the paranoia will back off a bit too...
    Keep it rubber-side down...

    I'm fair, I ignore everyone.

You don't HAVE to nod or wave to every fucker on a bike sheeet!
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

Doubt it - F/F was responding to my burley...I didn't even have to post on the thread before he started snapping.Who's pulling who's chain - those who care about waving,or those who couldn't care less?
