I wave to farmers on the road side,to car drivers that give way on one lane bridges,to car drivers that pull over to let me pass.
If they feel appreciated, they may continue to be courteous.

And the pricks that stay in the passing lane/fast lane ....
I burn their stupid heads with my high beams

    Cruiser riders...too cool to wave

Why do cruiser riders never wave, nod, flash headlight nor generally acknowledge other bikers when being passed etc?

I dunno about you, but cruiser's, sportbikes and tourers all wave back to me...
Ok one or two dont.. cos maybe they didnt have a chance to nod or wave as they only spotted me as I was zapping past them (yep going the other way)
Heck even some of the gang boys wave....

Some riders may not know the thing about nodding or waving to other riders... someone has to tell them these things...

I think we need to combine all the waving threads, have a group hug and get over it.

Maybe any thread or post that has the word wave in it should be automaticly deleted.

This wave thing is starting to look like a surfing site.

I get as many acknowledgments from crusier (watch the spelling , lads, BOTTYNZ is on the alert) riders as from those on any other sort of machine. Except Ducati riders, who never wave.

I hear that Ducati riders have all their focus on hanging onto the bike due to the vibrations....

    Amen to that.
Wave if you wanna, don't if you don't. The end.

I used to know a one armed man who rode a pushbike - I always waved to him....but he never waved back...I think something was wrong with the guy.

So,who wants to start the waving thread tomorrow? I've had my turn this week, somebody else better do it.Maybe a roster system?

I got a nod from a gang member the other day in Kingsland. He was on a bloody great hog with ape hangers and everything.

But then again, I do look the bizzo in my sparkley helmet and my blue and black "Dririder" outfit.

Edit: My point is - All generalisations are false - including the generalisation that all generalisations are false. There are all kinds of bikers out there and the type of machine does not tell you everything about a person.

prehaps we can have a waving/nodding forum for all the different permutations of this topic, kinda like the way we should probably have the "feel free to say what you want forum as well", oops I've said too much.
