    Thumbs up Thanks flashers

Thanks to all the cages that saved us a lot of money this weekend. A great weekend riding and the next set of tyres are free thanks to the flashing cages. Thanks people

Yeah it's good when that happens. It should be everyone's civic duty to warn out other motorists whether in a cage or on a bike. Last time I got pinged I parked up the road and warned everyone who came by.

I'm glad you lot think flashing to warn others of nearby cops, I flash my headlights mindlessly every quarter kilometer constantly, regardless of the proximty or otherwise of any cops, makes oncomming drivers paranoid and drive slower.

Ho ho nice one scum'. What about if there's a car in front of you? They might think you want them to go faster. Or think your some psycho who wants to off them.

This evening I got the flash from a car and a few minutes later hadn't seen the cop.

There was a row of traffic in front of me with a horse-float in front and I passed them once we got off the twisties and then slowed back down to 108kph and around the next corner was mr plod cruising along in the same direction he hadn't seen me...

A slow next 20km though stuck at 100kph

    I do

I almost always flash to warm people of an impending speed trap. The way I see it, is it's similar to having a radar detector, which police supposedly support. So, whether I flash, or the person already has a detector, it's achieving the same thing, slowing the people down, so how can that be bad.

Well yeah, the cameras don't get the money from the ticket, but the money isn't the point, right?

I really appreciate people flashing me, especially if it's on the Motorway

You'd love my ex-wife then, because she does the same thingPersonal I think people who do that are >>> The "Kiwi-Radar-Detector" is still my favourite detector and the only one I use .

Whats the problem with my flashing? - you haven't been speeding have you?

'course when I DO see a cop I DON'T flash, makes it more exciting for the other motorists, keeps them on their toes and alert.

I have noticed an increase in the frequency of "flashing" lately, and also that a few local speed cameras been vandalised.

The other thing about flashing other motorists is that some folk go hard on the anchors and slow down to 70Kmh when warned. I don't believe you can be nicked for doing 70 in a 100 so why do people do that?

Visions of SD riding/driving and flashing, that man should be arrested for being a travelling road hazard!

Awww where did you go ???
The ride through Ormonville , Weber , Wimbelton , Porongahau etc was fantastic on Friday. I want to go back again , those roads are almost as good as the Coromandle loop with almost no traffic , got to be good .

Sorry I missed the ride with you. :confused2 Bloody work. Went to Palmy on .Saturday Kev was looking for a jacket. I wanted to get Phil Turnbulls to look a the front rotors on the Gixxer. . They are starting to clatter when riding as they are wearing in the area of the rivets. No problem at this stage. Wear due to hard braking when the bike was on the track. As I do not race it is not likely to become a problem Oh yea came over the Pahiatua track. What a ride. Kev tried to do at 45 km corner at 145... .. I can't talk I had a stoppy before that but not by choice. We had a great run and had lunch at Burglar Bills. Dam best feed in the country. Sorry I did not call you. I struggled to get away from work and Kev was almost going with out me. But I got to his place in the end. It would have been to slow a ride for you Dave
