I fell off, broke bones, ouch

I fell off and broke my collarbone, so no more biking for two months.
I am okay aprt from that though.
Someone found me wandering on the road near Gregory Downs, (Australia)apparently i couldn't even remember my name.
They took me to a nearby mine, who called the flying doctors, who flew me to Mt Isa hospital, where i have been the past two nights.
They did CAT scans to confirm it was just concussion causing the ammnesia, so thats a relief.
Still have no idea where my motorcycle is though. Maybe with the people who found me?
I have about 12 hours of memory missing in total.

Well that was a short trip, I only did two weeks of a planned Six months riding before falling off.

I was on gravel, on a road with lots of mining road trains, so maybe that's a factor... cant remember anything.

I am considering not riding any more, but i suppose that's a gut reaction after just being released from hospital.

    Home to NZ next week.

Aw gutted mate! That's such a shame...
I hope you find your bike still.

Good thing you're alive though - in the outback you could have been walking for quite a while before being found.

As long as your just considering then that's OK... Sounds like you were lucky, apart from the bbroken bones but they'll heal! Take a rest, heal up and get ya head straight. You'll be right! You love riding dont let this put you off dude!

Christ Steam, That bike is a jinx for shoulder injuries. I am so sorry to hear about your crash. Please keep us informed of how you are doing, and if you get any memory of those missing hours back.

    Tough luck there dude.

    At least you're still breathing.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
