I'd have to agree with Headbanger. Bugger to hear you've knocked yourself around - but you WILL get better - and feel better each day too! And WHAT a story to tell, and retell over the years (and beers).

    Mend fast!

Get well Steam and don't let a minor crash put you off.....I must have given up biking 20 times by now, but give it a few days and stupidity again overrules those sensible, non biking, emotions.

    But this is Australia remember.
480km is "just around the corner", "If you stand on tippytoes you can just about see it from here" type stuff.

Sorry to hear this sport. Kinda does make you wonder if it is the old case of 'horses for courses' don't it.
Maybe just maybe, postn letters is the best(only?) use for these antiquated lil suckers?
I do hope the 'horse' I've chosen to do this on is less inclined to toss the rider !!!!!

Mate. Remind me not to borrow your bike.

    Jaysus, Mary and Joseph Steam!

You could have picked better places to eat some dirt mate. Gregory Downs is a wee bit off the highway. Were you coming south toward Camooweal or heading north up toward Gregory River/Lawn Hill Gorge National park and the Riversleigh Fossil field?

Either way you've been blessed to be found at all. You'll be in the RFDS Annual Report as "Injured motorcyclist - medivaced to Mt Isa Base Hospital". Legendary stuff indeed.

Complete aside: there was a very noice jillaroo at Gregory Downs by the name of Katherine who was extremely "talented" in the art of fellatio. Ohhh, I close my eyes and remember the B&S Ball of 1997...er, anyway, rest up, heal fast, download some Superbike mags from here (thanks to Sanx), lie in bed and take advantage of being unable to work and dream of finishing that trip!

I wonder whatever became of Katherine...
