Lost some of my go-fast bits.

Went to the hosptial this morning to have some metalwork removed from my arm.

A small little K-wire which had come loose (probably from riding too much too early) and was protruding a bit into the skin.
It was cool at first - I could move it round and freak people out. But it was annoying, so I got them to rip it out.

Took 25mins, done under a local so I was watch the whole thing, pretty cool really.

You can see where it was here : In the right hand side of this Xray:

Then my arm afterwards : Its covered in that yellow iodine crap. Few stitches under the plaster.

Well I guess you will have trouble explaining at the airport when you set off the metal detectors!

Glad to hear you are mending even though you are now something between a paperclip and a human now!

Looking at the photo of your arm it seems you still haven't put on any weight yet have you?

Well its hard to tell. I'm too light to register on the bathroom scales, but too big to stand on the kitchen scales. So I guess I'm somewhere in between.

Go and beg for some leftovers round gijoe1313's olds' place of business. that'll fatten you up. It will give you some extra padding for your next crash too!

Probably just a tracking device. Everyone with Bionics has one.
FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

I've got a little jar at home with three of those suckers in. Came out of the side of my right hand. Didn't even get a local, and was very concerned when the intern went away to put on a gown over his suit, and get some larger needle nosed pliers.

I never thought about putting them on my key ring - would certainly be a reminder to take things easy!
