    Smile HBAR 2 - East Coast Escape - 7/8 Nov 2009

    Greetings adventurers !

Hawke's Bay Adventure Ride #2 - East Coast Escape - is on, 7-8 November.

Anyone wanna join in on a scenic tour of the backroads up the East Coast of the North Island ?
This will be a big bike and smooth tyre friendly ride !

    The loose plan is...
Saturday: Leave from outside Napier airport at 7.30 am, head up to Wairoa, Gisborne, backroads to Tokomaru Bay, then Tolaga Bay for the night.

Sunday: Leave Tolaga and take the scenic coastal route to Gisborne. Head in towards Tiniroto at Te Reinga. Turn into Ruakituri Rd which takes you thru to the Wairoa-Waikaremoana highway.
From here we have a choice of route:
Southerners can head thru to Raupunga via Waihi Rd. Northerners head on thru to Murupara and beyond.

    Accommodation:

Friday night: Westshore Holiday Park. ph 06 835 9456

Saturday night: Tolaga Bay Holiday Park. ph 06 862 6716 (Trina)

    Cabins from $45 - $75 for 2.

We won't be able to come

Instead we'll have to settle for camping in the Whirinaki and celebrating Clint's birthday
The road to hell is paved...
