Coming down West End Road (Westmere, Auckland) on my way home this evening, I noticed somebody has spilled strawberries on the road. Maybe not a major hazard, but something to look out for. It's near where the strawberry vending truck is usually located in the car park by Cox's Bay.
Imagine the embarrassment of coming in here and having to tell everyone you dropped your bike due to a slippery patch on a corner. What was it? Diesel? Oil? No, strawberries.
That reminds me of a little ditty my Grandma used to tell me:
"Oh mother dear
What is that there
That looks like strawberry jam?"
"Hush hush my child
'Tis your Papa
Run over by a tram"
Beware of the strawberries.

in my defense I got to the outside lane as soon as I could planning to stay there till the motorway stopped, music up loud as you do and finally heard this odd note in my sounds, realised that is was plod and indicated to pull left........for ages and ages, then made my lane change. As this bikey cop pulled past me he gave me the finger, as in tut, tut you naughty thang, rather that the, this is actually what i think of you finger........I was sorry of course
next thing I am avoiding many, many cans of beer all over the show, road kill for the masses, a truck carrying boxes of beer had tipped over spilling the contents all over the road.......I kept driving mind you, that finger thing got me big time!
