Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
That's pretty impressive if you're riding a GN, especially as the wing mirror on one of those things is at shoulder height.
Ahh yes more vigilante justice

I dunno... They might have got the message. Ram biker one day.. Biker takes off wing mirror the next... You'd have to assume it was the guy's mate wouldn't you?
Hope it was the right person that lost their mirror. I'd be fuckin ropeable and in full roadrage mode if someone just popped up and smashed my mirror off for no reason because they got the wrong guy.
My personal opinion is that you either fight back at the time in the heat of the moment (while you've forgotten you're at a severe disadvantage if they ram you harder) or save that kinda shit for when all other efforts at justice have failed.
If I ever have the misfortune to be starting one of these threads remind me to ask people to leave the vigilante justice to me unless I give the ok first.
nope. most of the fuckwits in auckland that act like this do so because they have a problem with bikers. usually the problem is that the bike is faster through traffic, but they justify that hatred by saying the bikers are lawless, pass where they shouldn't etc etc.
smashing off his mirror will reinforce his view. and make him even more of a cunt to the next biker.
you cant expect someone like this to use logic to put the two events together.
Totally agree. I'm saying it's worse if they got an innocent cage. Will also make the drivers that saw it happen less amenable to bikes. They definitely won't understand the reason.
Funny how people in cars whinge about bikes not following the rules. In the last week while I've been sitting in my cage stuck in traffic (bring on the new bike already) I've been watching the behaviour more closely as I've got nothing better to do. Way more cages are doing dodgy shit than any bikers out there. If cages are allowed to do whatever they want to get to the front why can't bikes eh? Bus lanes are a classic example.
yeah, pays to be 100% sure when you pull that shit - better have been the same car
if it was the same bike as he had rammed that took off his mirror he may have gotten the message, but otherwise expect things to only be worse.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
Don't read too much into it. There are quite a few Internet Tough Guys here.
