A Quick WOFie

My bike is due for its first WOF this month, and im just wondering what places around wellington are good for WOFs, im confident that my bike can pass i brought new tyres and been spending lotsa $$$ on keeping it up to standard. I live in porirua too so if anyone knows any places out there it would be good

I'd rather go just about anywhere else - just in case there is actually something wrong with it. After the experiences I have had with VTNZ mis-diagnosing, or completely missing faults, I'm stuffed if I like the idea of using them to ensure my safety.
Take it to a bike shop.

Not too far away is Richards in J'ville. You will have to book it in for a Saturday, but he is fair & will pick up anything genuinely unsafe, which is good.

I echo the VTNZ slagging about missing important things (I bought a bike with truly dangerous warped discs & knackered steering head bearings with a fresh VTNZ WOF). Fortunately no else bought it without realising.

those dudes aren't the best for bikes, they quite often miss out very important things that you really should know about, but i have taken my last bike to one and they were on the money. they are the ones just down the road from motomart in the hutt.
please also remember that to be careful where you go because i have seen so many bikes been crashed by some cowboy at the local servo doing a WOF.
my best advice is just goto the place that you have been spending all you hard earned $$ and they sould sort you out. other than that always deal with a shop that is an agent for the brand of your bike, those jokers will know your beastie inside and out and will be able to fix things really easily.
