    Aww man!

There aren't enough nc30 riders on this forum as it is! I just got one and you're gonna sell yours eh :sneaky2:

I must admit the SP1 is one of the best looking sportbikes around IMO.
That red and black just looks mean!

So are you going to change your username to VTR_SP1_Chick?

    Now you've done it...

they go slower in the corners because they can go a bit faster on the straights.
Yeah, but this is assuming that you spend alot of time trying to keep up, dare I say racing bigger bikes. That really isn't the safest way to ride, especially on the street. Also, if you have to, isn't it a better idea to be slightly lazier, or slower in the corners, and go a little faster on the straight? It's certainly safer that way. Obviously, this is for safety rather than rider improvement.
Besides there's something a bit surreal about seeing someone tall or a bit portly settling themselves into/onto a sportsbike. Must be bloody uncomfortable.
Pwalo, are you the SOAB who points and laughs at me when I get on my bike? I'll have you know, there is no discomfort WHATSOEVER
Yeah that maybe so but its got no soul
Now you're just talking out your ass Hey, all bikes are beautiful, big or small, as I always say I don't discriminate. (Yes, even harleys ). I don't think bikes have soul though, heritage yeah, not soul. Oh, how long has the R1 been around, long enough to have a little history :cool2:

But, I do like the look of your future bike NC30. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Size does not matter its what you do with it that counts!!!! In any case will the SP1 make you happy? Its got a ugly front but its has heaps of power that makes up for it.

I also want a new bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Started riding in December last year on the RG150 (still have it) After 6 months i rode my first R6 (loved it) and a K2 GSX-R 600 inbetween then and now.... Have also ridden a CBR1100XX which was the easiest bike i have ridden (except for the 3rd gear wheelies) and then bought my ZXR400L8 at the start of this month, that was the most difficult bike i have ridden, but i enjoy ringing its neck and throwing it into the corners (being careful of the rear suspension which is bloody hard)....

Just waiting for my K5 GSX-R600 to arrive and im going to have fun then on all three of my bikes..... Now all i need is my full licence

Only heard good things about the SP-1 have plenty of fun on it
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz

How long did you guys take to get to a bigger bike?
And what CC ratings did you go from?
Ok... no one else has said it so I will................. Dont under estamate a big block V2, they are nothing like a 1000cc 4cyl. A V2 dosent have the top end that a 4cyl does but sure as hell makes up for it down low eg: my MG 1100i off the start line is the 1st into the 1st corner at Ruapuna, then every bastard passes me, another eg: my mates Hayabusa is a easier bike to ride than my V2 turbo was and the Guzzi and VTR for that mater.

But like others have said ride it with the due resepct and you will love it, hell who wants a 4cyl anyway they belong in cars..... ohh and sound like a strangled cat too...

    BTW, I started riding at 15yrs with a 80cc then it went 125, 250, 500, 750, 500, 500 turbo, V750, 1100, and 1000.
so thats 21 yrs from 80 too 1000cc but that dosent mean that ya cant jump straight up there.
    cheers DD

I went from a CBR400 to a Fireblade, and my first thought was 'this is so much easier' and the SP1 is easier to ride (although slower) than the Fireblade, so the step-up should be fine.
After spending a few years on the big bikes I went back to the 400's(i have 3) as they are alot more fun.
