I started on a 150cc BSA Bantam - my penis is very large, therefore I have never had to own a bike bigger than 750cc...unless you want to consider my 1200cc VW powered Ural as a motorcycle. Most who saw it were dumbstruck,so I don't know what they thought.

Mate.... theres no way that I can agree with that aye, a 900 blade is the more dosile bike out of the blade and SP1 they are both so different to ride.
Like I said IMHO a GSXR 1300 Hayabusa is easier to ride than a eg:TL1000.... at least thats how I've found it and I've raced both.

I'm not saying the Blade is a pussys bike... far from it, but a 4 is more predictable than a twin.

I had a NC30 for about 3 years. It was a great bike, and although I had a few troubles with the regulator it was very reliable.

I recently made the move to something bigger. I was waying up between a 1000 and a 600. Since I use the bike for commuting in Traffic as well as weekend riding I wnet for the 600 as the 1000 would just be a bit big and heavy for lane splitting etc.

I went for the GSXR600 over the R6 in the end. No regrets, mean bike with a heap of power. Most modern 600's are actually lighter than the NC30.

I'm not getting this.... I could not give a flat rats arse what you ride and I'm a bit amazed you do... Size does not matter... Attitude is everything and NO, not just a bad one either...

Oh... Bugger, why am I bothering... I mean, wtf would I know, I just ride turgid old pieces of munted out shit that have about as much in common with an SP1 as does a Honda 50... Christ, the Guzzi is the most modern bike I've ever owned and I would not recognise an OHC if it fell on me.

In fact.... Wait until you see what I think I bought when I was pissed as a rat at the Guzzi rally... It's even older, more munted and slower than the Mk2.. Ya hoo

Have fun.... Just don't go broke doin' it or trying to impress me. I was already impressed....

You reckon ? I would have thought the power delivery was more predictable on a twin due to the firing sequence.

    Response to others

    - the front end of an SP-1 is a sexy as ......an 04 Aprilia Factory. I.e very.

    - Im tall and have no problems with the size of the bike - having long arms also makes less of a stretch to the low bars on sportsbikes.

    - Ive never heard an SP-1 with Yoshies, but Im pretty happy with the sound and performance of my Neptunz.

    - Ive never had any problems with induction or timing other than having fitting a power commander to complement the K&N and Neptunz.

    - who says small bikes are more fun ? You just have to know how to handle a "real", I mean big bike.

BTW NC30 - there are plenty of SP-1's in the motorcycle trader for around $14000 that haven't been raced and look mint - can't believe that a couple of them have pack racks fitted - (sacrilege).

See the SP-5 is now $22995 rather than $28995..........

Have you ridden one yet ? I know a real nice guy who may offer you a go if ya ask nicely ?

I really hate pack racks!! And having them on sportsbike, what the????

I kinda wanted a raced one, cause then yah know it goes like a cut cat.. well that's what I think..
Otherwise you might end up buying one off a dude the broke the bike in like a kid learning how to ride a plastic trike.
