    Jogging is bad for you

I once went ridding to a lake for a jog, when I arrived I secured my helmet to the helmet lock under the seat and ran a lap of the lake. When I got back to the bike some bastard had wrenched me helmet off the lock and absconded with it,so I had to ride home with no helmet.I gave up jogging after that,I decided it was to expensive and to dangerous.
Now when I go for a ride I generally park up by a lake or the ocean, put my helmet on the seat for all to see and then hide behind a bush, entrapment stylie.
The helmet theft took place 30years ago and 12,000 miles away but I'm gona have that bastard when he comes back.He ruined my health!
    Oh bugger

Admit it... that's not the real reason you are lurking in the bushes.

I get a rather funny mental image of a guy running around a lake wearing full leathers - sweating, a lot...

    Jogging sure is dangerous.

Jim Fixx was an American writer who is widely credited with popularising jogging as a way to keep fit. He published a book called Complete Book of Running in 1977 which spent eleven weeks at number 1 in the best-seller lists. This book, and a subsequent companion volume, extolled the benefits of physical exercise and the resultant effects on human life expectancy.

He died on July 20th 1984 of a massive heart attack, whilst out jogging.

Obviously his first book was given the wrong title - otherwise, what would he ever write a second book on the subject for?

Denis Leary made a comment on this fella in one of his acts.

Well, at risk of suffering a torrent of witty put downs, I think being fit helps riding a Motorbike-concentration-core body strength etc. Ok-bring it on.....

I get all the daily exercise I need from getting my knee down at intersections.

I guess the chances of someone nicking my helmet 30 years ago in england and then following me 12000miles to nz and popping up in a layby in northland just to have another go are quite remote but if ,I'm sayin if he does ,Iz gona twat the bastard.legitimate reason for lurkin in bushes. It's in the constitution of human rights book nz edition, page 56,under lurkers and shirkers.

Eating correctly, not drinking and exercising: You don't live longer....it just seems that way.

Cable lock under the seat. Problem solved. To some extent...
I am always afraid that some punk will vandalize my beautiful carbon fiber helmet just because he cannot steal it.

Re: Jogging: Jogging is definitely hard on the knees but it just feels so good...
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
