Great South Island Road-Trip (teaser)

Well, 2300 and do you think i can sleep? Not a chance matey boy, just a big bundle of nerves, just spent an hour waxing everything leather -boots, gloves my new 2piece spidi power-ranger suit. Cleaned the visor too, sundays blat in the wirarapa made a dent in the local bug population (yeah right!) Black Betty (Betty for short) is just freshly serviced (cheers welly mcs) 45000fun filled ks under the belt, and about another 3k to go on over the next ten days.

Booked for the 0300 sailing on bluebridge, so its sun up and a clear road ahead to meet friends in Chch for coffee/breakfast/smoko/lunch, then out on Yaldhurst straight towards mu much loved Southern Alps. man I've missed seeing them. Timaru by evening to do the family catch up, been a while..

couple of days then the real fun begins, lap of the Island time.

cant wait for those stunning Southern roads. (hey Brent, cheers for all your help on this one mate, i owe ya!)

Have a friggin awesome trip dude. Soooo wish I could get down with ya again this time...ahh the beloved Southern Alps, the numerous pictures I have stuck up around my work station just don't cut it. In the meantime I'll have to be contented with the outlook of the Northern Kaikoura's from Lake Ferry

And I expect a full report with pics and debriefing session when you get back.
