Just don't try to cook them first. Years ago on my parents' farm in Pahiatua I came into the kitchen one day to find my dad boiling up possum on the stove for the dogs. The smell was indescribable. But let me try.
    Nauseating, horrendous, abominable instantupchuckableness...
    You get the idea.

    And this was fresh possum...

I think it might be open weekdays during the summer. I had a very enjoyable lunch there once - seem to recall it was a weekday but may be mistaken.

Anyway it's a great ride - just beware of the wind.

Best to be avoided at all times
A long time ago on a different bike I run overone of those natures speed bumps Couldn't miss it right on my line. Not a problem until I slowed to turn a corner and then the road felt like it had turned to deep sand How I stayed on I don't know. But ythat little speed bump had left a 5mm hole in my tube. 5km to push the bike meant I was late for work. Luckily the garage where I worked was able to fix it for me so I could get home.

Now I avoid all suck speed bumps at any cost.
