I've always found it was the folks who could make my life more difficult than the cops - hence why I avoided the ol 'nest defacation'.
nonetheless, with a rowdy 250, even at 40kmhr it sounds like its going twice that and I had a similarly grumpy guy wave at me one day saying 'slow down!' as I went past at no more than 50... so I sped up

Can't please all of the people all of the time mate, but do yourself a favor and don't go out of your way to annoy her

Theres a lot of people out there who fervently believe that revs=speed....

Hence if you sound fast you must be fast...

I thought you where South African.

Don't you wrestle with loins, chase buffelo to make boltem (dryied meat) and generally dodge bullets when your walking to the convience store.

A little old lady like that should have seemed like an annoying fly you could swat away! Or is she bitter now that you don't take her daisy's anymore?
down, I"m going as fast as I can

I'd have to agree it sucks when some old random jumps up and starts kicking up a fuss and dancing around like big-bird. My similar experience (although I was in a car and not on my bike at the time) was particularily frustrating as the old bag had just moved into the street where I (and most of my neighbours) had grown up and lived there for the last 15+ years. And she acks like as the new kid on the block she owns the place! I agree with Quasievil and creating a new meeting place outside this old-bats house. If that is not fesiable then burn a CD with some authentic petrol burning, rubber wearing, dirt blowing bike sounds and run it on repeat through a few rather large speakers pointed at her house. Then to cap it off go for a stroll past her as it is booming and comment on "what a pleasent day it is."

I do agree with the old--dont shit in ya own nest theory.
My nest has um a few eggs in it and I'd hate to loose or have broken an egg or two.
Quasi is right -there is such a thing as a time and a place to assert your rights but I don;t believe that place is in your street.
To be totally honest My street beeing a cul de sac and having a lot of under5 year olds around me I was out in my street one day with a chunk of 4x2 to beat the shit out of a couple of lil turds doing burnouts etc in the street and roaring off at top speed in a lil ring ding ding car.
If a lil kid hada come flying outa his/her driveway they woulda been dead.

yes i love the bullet-dodging pastime as well.

But i just promptly ignored her. THIS TIME. If she has the tanacity to try it again i am sure we will have words. I know i do go *slightly* above the speed limit in certain area's and sometimes my own but usually not, for the sole fact that my street is a loop that has 2 tight corners (usually with cars on both sides) and so i take them at like 30-40 or even slower depending on the amount of cars about. Sure there are sometimes kids on the road but i am well aware of everything that goes on around me and i have seen cars doing a hell of a lot worse.

It all comes down to the whole noise thing. I told my dad about it and he says if i was going quick then i have to deal with her but he realises that due to the loudness of the exhaust it usually sounds like i'm going a hell of a lot quicker. I just think it's rude to stand and yell at someone. Do i yell at kids who play in the street or old people who drive really really slowly. No i do not. I think she realises i am a younger fella . Come to think of it what would you older fella's do if this middle aged women started yelling at you?? I think i'll just and if she does anything else we might have words

I too live in a cul-de-sac which seems to attract contests for the best 1/16 mile. While I am tempted to the softball bat ( used to be able to slug it well into the outfield) I find that the usually inconvenient dog shit that gets deposited on the grass verge is a better bet. The boy racers just do not like their pristine wheels decorated ...

At my old house, whenever we tested the KX after fixing it, we would get a load of shit from our good ol' neighbours bitching about how loud we were.

Might I add that these were the neighbours who had their stereo on full base pounding in their home 16/7 giving us all fucking headaches, screaming at the top of their lungs for fun, shout insults from their windows (like my mum uses polyfiller for her wrinkles, they should of thought that one out cause my mum took it as a compliment), and kicking their dogs so they would constantly moan in pain, deliberately to annoy us. This went on for 3 years. They obviously didn’t do it in retaliation to our bikes, cause we only got the KX a year back. We thought it would be better to move before we slaughtered them.

Now I always laugh at the 'Neighbours' theme song.

My neighbour use to abuse me for riding up and down the street on my dirt bike.
(Iwould give it a run if it had been sitting for a week or so)
So Im afraid I went and did some donuts on his front grass verge one night.

    He never complained again.

    This was not in Hunua.

So the plate was horizontal to the road -correct me if I am wrong, but isnt that the usual way of things?
