I ask for nothing but to ride where ever the road calls
It always sucks when people die on the roads

one post here asked... what happened?...
at first i thought, that was a bit ruff!...
but then i thought,
when i go and if it was due to a bike crash... i would want all to know what i did wrong, so that others may learn from my mistake...
so yer, anyone know how it happened?
what a ride so far!!!!
Sorry for coming over a bit rough,
But to me the truth is always important when it comes down to a crash,
to many times we hear the easy story and never the truth,
for those of us who grieve about a lost one, it is easier to face the truth, even if it hurts at the time, and when a biker goes down and no one else is involved you have to investigate properly,
I tried to find a link to the news story but did not find one.
We don't get over the death of a loved one, it is always there, but part of the healing is knowing what really happened,
once again my sympathy is with his relatives, and I do know what they are going through, and it's hell on earth,
even when you know the truth you often still have to prove it.

we are family, to live and be free
on the road or off the road
what we ride makes us you and me
how we ride is what we want to be
live fast and free, wind and rain
in our faces, we are brothers
and sisters you and me
we ride to make us free
whether for pleasure
or just for fun
or maybe join others
and ride on a run
bike show, day out
dirt track or trail
we are family and together
we greive a fallen one
together we bleed and cry
for our fallen brother sister
another biker has left the fold
never forgotten we will carry
there memories on our backs
with us everytime,we ride
for we are all family on each
and every ride togehter
no matter what we ride
so when you look over your shoulder
or in your mirror, and behind,
there is a long line
of brothers and sisters,
fellow bikers with you
each and every time you ride.
ride safe ride free ride for your brothers and sisters that can no longer ride.
Ride In Peace

Many condolences to the family and friends.
64 is far too young, although I don't believe age makes a difference as a lost loved one is never able to replaced no matter how old they are.
Another biker down, RIP and ride forever. Condolenses for family and friends.
RIP biker. Ride forever in peace. Condolences to family and friends.
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
It's how Aviation Lore, pilot skills and just plain butt-saving airmanship have developed over the century of flight.
Every pilot from his first flight starts devouring the Accident Reports. I learned more about piloting an aircraft in the sky's complex 3D environment from accident reports than any other source. Well ... 'hangar-flying' comes close but mostly that's a whole bunch of old and new pilots drinking coffee and talking about ..... accident reports (ahem ... and a few that didn't quite make the report stage - thank goodness)
LB heard about this and has asked me to post this message on this thread:
Rob was with a group of us doing our annual Iron Butt ride - this is the 22nd year we've done it, we ride the same route with the same core group of people.
We are all a bit shellshocked.
Thank you for the messages of sympathy - I will pass them onto Rob's family at an appropriate time, and will share them with our fellow riders.
LB
Cheers
Merv
And please forward my sincere condolences to the family.
