    A workin' Turbo... Too cool!

Let us know how it went eh? It's a damn shame most of those things were built in the too ugly for words era (like my Mk2) when all makers were struggling for the next great thing because how mad would a turbo R1 be?

That will get the long arm of the law tapping out words of support But I can relate to that. When I rebuilt my 85 Gixxer I had it on the road for a few test rides. Not much was needed at the time to get it up to a warrant standard. Just rear breaks tyre replacement damaged swing arm and weld the frame. Other than that it was great. But it did wheel stand well. Once I finished the rebuild I treated it with respect. Did to much work to crash it
It is a bright sunny day down here in Hawkes Bay. This is such a great place to live.
Take care they just might come out to play today.

mate............ I'd give my right arm for one of those. The 1983 CX650 turbo, a mate had the only one in NZ and Oz back in the late 80's (pic of me on it at the Brass Monkey in 87)

I had the 82 CX500 turbo brought it with 6800km on it from a collecter of turbo bikes. Ya either like em or hate em...... truly awesome bikes. If ya can be buggered reading it heres a write up on the CX500tc http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=2854

ugly, YES!! just did 200km nearly MTd the tank, i think it needs a tune up as when i chopped down throug the gears it was back firing, and i think the clutch is ready to be replaced, it felt like it slipped a couple of times, ..
up Pyes Pa way they have closed the road to rotorua.. i have (from my place to the end) 19 km of fast windy road that has only the locals using it, and (as far as i know) no cops...hint hint hint, but i think that the way i rode it today i maight have well ridden a harley!, i have a brand new rear tyre and it needs a bit more leaning to scrub it in properly!
    next itime eh!

When I had me GSX750 I came across a CX Turbo on the southern motorway one day.I thought, Aha a 500 I can take this thing.
I came up beside him and gave him the hint.
I just had time to see 650 on the bloody thing an he was GONE.
I chased him all the way to the city but every time I got close he would do this mad excelaration thing again.
Wasn't any of you lot was it??
