Yeah, if I was in WarkWorth I suppose that would be about the time I'd have to get up in order to make the Chch event in time

Err Jen... are you sure you've used enough exclaimation marks? We may not have got the point...

It's gonna take me about 2 minutes to ride to the school from my place which is good... means I can lie in a bit too! Good for posting at 12.30 in the morning

I've been out and bought m'self a set of rain overclothes for the weekend - a jacket and pants set, dirt cheap from Rebel Sport. So hopefully they'll do the job and keep me nice and dry if the heavens should open

See you all tomorrow! Or today, as the case may be...

About fecken time! I'd be really embarrised to turn up without them today... after so many wet Wednesdays and me saying "I cant believe you guys come out with rain forcast and no wets" and then getting wet.

You're welcome, it was fun Quite possibly a much nicer place in warmer weather and better daylight, but as far as a first house is concerned, I'm pretty happy with it generally speaking. Got pretty smoky in the conservatory with the BBQ going, but with the weather not playing ball, it being dark and us not having outside lighting set up yet, we couldn't very well use the BBQ area. Still, come next daylight savings...

Good weekend overall. The training was good - frustrating at times - but good. Quite an eye opener how hard you could brake and not lock the front wheel, even with all that standing water. If you'd asked me to begin with I wouldn't have said I could have braked half as hard as what I did. I think it'll help the way I feel about riding on a wet surface - not pushing it, but perhaps less tentative.

I'm trying to get into the right frame-of-mind for working - i.e. watching youtube...

Dug this little gem out - just so you can see the Goldwing Nutter in action.

Thanks Andrew & Lynne, Jen and Chris!! Good on you guys.

It was a great weekend. For me it was the slow-speed stuff that challenged me.

    What he said...
Thanks Andrew & Lynne, Jen and Chris

Same with the low speed stuff, just couldn't keep the wobbles away when riding with my throttle hand resting on my leg. Will certainly work on that exercise in clutch control and balance.
Emergency braking on the wet surface was fun, as was seeing everyone else 'get it'.
I knew it was possible with good brake control to still stop hard in the wet, but stoppies Mikkel, didn't really expect to see that.
Now to make the effort to specifically go practice...well, everything.

I didn't expect it either... I guess I was just ecstatic from actually managing to lock my front up and not fall off for once That thing alone made the whole weekend worth it - everything else I consider a nice bonus

I hope you got it on camera...

Sorry mate, just been skimming through the tape and can not see it.
Sure I got the camera out but must have been one of those times I didn't hit the record button hard enough.
