It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Nice nostalgic pic there. There's something about bikes that young boys fixate over. I see them milling around the bikes at the flying fish in Martinborough. And they always ask... Can you do a wheelie? haha, yeah mate, it's taught on the basic skills course!![]()
yeh, i was fortunate enough to have a neighbour that was a salesman for honda i think... that pic would be about 1990-92, and that IS a brand new bike...
its been so long, now all i can hope for is winning lotto. Spose i'll just have to settle for second hand![]()

The art of being wise is knowing what to overlook.
They didn't have camera's when I rode my first bike - anyway,we don't want evidence of a 14 yr old riding on the road - it was a Puch moped, and believe it or not it was quite scary going that fast without having to pedal,T shirt, shorts and bare feet as was the street kids uniform of the day.

those kids actually know a lot about bikes, they seem really interested.Originally Posted by StoneChucker

Being frustrated is disagreeable.
But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
No pics of me on the back of my dads C90 aged 6. But here's my son (then aged 4) on my brand new RSVR (hours out of the showroom). The bars are a bit of a stretch![]()

My first real ride on my first bike, a '77 CJ250(gotton with the assistance of my first backpay and the advice of a mate who had a GT250). Woodbourne-Picton~~~~~Wellington-Masterton-Dannivirke-Havelock North-Taupo-Hamilton-Hobsonville. Learnt quite a bit about m/c maintenance etc on that bike![]()
My first was a Kwaka Z1100GP - I have a pic of me on it somewhere, must dig it out and post it....![]()
*sigh*
The first bike I ever owned was a honda c50.Which for those of you that don't know is a honda three speed semi auto scooter. I was 12 years old and I rode it till it finally died.
First road bike was a honda cb100 -a mighty single with all of 10hp with the wind behind it.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
