2002 Suzuki DR-Z400E Stolen from Wellington Nov 30th

I had a 2002 DR-Z400E stolen last night from the Oriental Bay area in Wellington. It's a pretty distinctive DRZ, One Industries sticker kit, Trailtech Vapour Tach/Speedo, DRC smoked taillight, Zeta handguards, even has a Thumpertalk sticker. Plate was 66YMD, though I don't expect that to last. If anyone sees it on the trails/streets around Wellington/Hutt please proceed to tackle the rider and pin him down for me.

That has to suck, I know just how much fun these bikes are. Dunno if we are likely to be seen again as (apparently) there is a large black market for enduro/trail bikes (according to the ploddie that I spoke to when I had a TT350 nicked). Hope its fully insured and you get your pay out swiftly.

Unfortunately.. no insurance. One of those things that you wish someone had told you about (I'm a relatively newcomer to New Zealand.)

Live and learn I suppose. But seriously.. if people don't mind keeping an eye out for it on the trails.

Big ups to the folks at Motorad, I'll be picking up a shiny new Gas Gas Pampera 450 next week thanks to them. And eating noodles for the next 12 months, but it's worth it.. I have to keep telling myself that

    recovered.

Got a call from the Lower Hutt Police this morning claiming they found a bike they thought was mine. Troddled out there and lo, it actually was mine. They'd pulled the guy over sometime on Saturday, driving without a plate, taillight, rear indicators and wet white paint. Smart. Only damage is awful white latex paint over everything and a missing rear brake light, indicators and plate/holder. Sweet.

And here I'd given up all hope on the police. Now what to do about that Gas Gas =\

The question is rather more what to do with that piece of excrement they found riding your bike.

Got his name and address yet?
