    Stunter and Speeding Owned

Had to laugh - Just came in and popped on the TV. Americas "extreme" videos (or something like that) was on.

Guy pulls a stoppie, wobbles and puts the rear tyre back on the road. another biker comes past doing 120 MPH and absolutely wipes him out.

Leg totally fucked - hanging on by skin only. Speeding rider last seen on back sliding down road.

Cops were REALLY unsympathetic - go figure.

Wasnt laughing at the bikers - he was seriously stuffed - but at the threads here over the last few days with people doing the same kind of thing but believing (probably like the riders in the TV) that they have the mad skillz to pull it off - so it wouldnt happen to them.

So - next time guys get it video - if anything goes wrong at least you can sell the syndication rights of the footage

No, most of us/them doing this shit know that there is a good chance of it all going wrong. If someone happens to video it, all the better,

bit like the guy who won wyndham 06 at the burt challenge... pops a wheelie goin over the finish line. tips it back onto the tail and it gets away on him. one dazed racer sitting in the middle of the track, and a bike totalled and in bits.

good post, sick of the other posts about stunting etc.
what really pisses me off is when somebody decides to pop the front up close to me or in front of me ( I admit there are some I know well and they do not bother me ).
riders I dont know well stunting close to me scares me. any stunter who really knows there shit would not do it. and just like DJs, stunters dont impress me.

It's almost inevitable that the kiddies will copy what they see on American TV.

Next thing you know they will all be wearing red bandanas under their helmets too.

Nothing like someone with some skill popping a good wheelie or a stoppie, but everyone should be cautious of other riders and strear clear in case it does go wrong.

I must be on KBer too much cause this is getting pretty repetitive, although i do think the rift between so-called legal and possibly safer riders and those who aren't, (or at least are honest enough to admit doing the odd illegal act), is becoming bigger.

    PS:
Spread the word to any rider you see wearing inappropriate gear. I confronted a guy on a scooter at the lights who was wearing only a lid, T-shirt, shorts and sandals today and gave him an earful!

I have no problem with others having fun and taking risks.

I dont like others doing it in my near vicinity without me being aware of it.

I dont like others being maimed or hurt unless they really deserve it.

You seem to missed the point (big time).

I wasn't laughing at the fact that a biker got hurt. ANYONE getting hurt is a bad thing, and people that get morbid satisfaction from it are funny in the head. (and yes, I understand that you were being sarcastic with your comments)

What made me laugh was mainly the timing considering I had just read threads about this kind of thing, and the large number of comments about how the people doing it all have skillz etc etc and that they wont get hurt because 'they' all know what they are doing (yeah right). Note that this goes for the guy that was speeding also - not just captain stunter.

Now - on a bike Im pretty much a nana. In a car (and I have had some seriously fast cars) I was a total fuckwit. So I'm not casting stones at people doing what they want when there are no others around (although I probably have in other threads before I sat back and though about my time on the road as a whole).

But it did kind of bring it home that things can go wrong - esp if there is more than one person pushing it a bit.

But did he win the race?
