I can't quite believe this is in my garage

I know the photo is shit but I couldn't bear to leave my baby out in the rain getting wet just to get a better shot. Can wait till the weekend for some nice pics

After an intensive week of test riding every supersport bar the Daytona plus a few wildcards I finally decided on my new bike.

The 07/08 CBR certainly lives up to its supersport rep and all the reviews. Thanks to Grant at Cyclespot who put together a great deal I get to own one (the last 08 in Auckland until the new shipment arrive in Jan I understand).

I'll be updating my test riding thread with my results from taking yesterday off work to test some more bikes for those who want to know how I made the call.

4 weeks from being taken out by a cage this definitely makes up for the pain and inconvenience of not having a bike and the wee trip to the hospital.

Huge thanks for Obstacle for lending me his Hornet for the last week or two. I think it must have turned me

I don't care what people say about Hondas - I'd rather be riding one than nothing at all... and your's is purty...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.

Thanks guys! It's like having a baby innit!

As you can see I don't care what people say about Honda's either. They might have lost the razor edge for a bit there but I think they're onto a winner with the 07/08. You hear the old "it doesn't have character" shit but man this bike does. Let it rip and it growls and snaps. Can't wait to get on the track!

EJ, you're right I was going to get a 636. Then I rode heaps of bikes and realised it's just not the bike for me. Much as I love the look and the ride the ergonomics don't fit my body at all.

What I've learned doing all this testing is that buying a bike on specs, looks and KB hearsay is foolish. You HAVE to try them.

I just worked out on the weekend that d sits about 4 desks away from me at work, so I've been quizzing him about his rides.

Monday he was sucking air between his teeth at the extra cost of a hunda.

    Well done.
