    Just about to give up

hey guys and girls the last 2 weeks have been an almost killer for me on the road.
1st a blind man driving pulls right out in frount of me(he wasnt blind but must have been) hit the brakes hit hears me and stops in frount.recons he didnt see me with mu red and black dryryder on and lights in day time.

2nd comming up to a roundabout changing down looking in mirror see no cars at all, start to brake look in mirror nothing there, then all of a sudden i hear a car passing me so close i could have opend his door and slapped him but low and behold it was a cop car lights on no siren passing about 40cm from be at a speed i can only imagen.and all this with my L plate on my bike.

3rd riding home today on a 80kph zone i have 2 cars behind me,first car passes no worrys
next a white van passes me then a apple hits me on the arm.(what the fuck)
some young shit in the van hiffed it at me as they were passing.
so bugger me i follow them they turn down a few sreets till finely i cut them off and had it out with them.the driver(some old dude) says nah wasnt us,i say there was no one else and apples dont just fly around for the fun of it.
by this time some other young guys in a bet up honda(boy races) pull up and start having a go at me(what the fuck) well i was out numbered by about 12 to 1 so took down number plate and left.reported it to the cops but nothing will happen.
if you happen to be riding out near wardrenvile dunedin and you see a white van parked at the end as your heading out to brighton thats the bugger.

well thats my rant and am thinking of giving up and going back to being in a cage

just dont feel safe on the road
today i will take on the world tomorrow i will get out of bed

Well - the statistics prove that the roads aren't safe - so good thing you aren't feeling like that

Keep at it mate - the close calls always seems to come in groups!
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

it comes in 3s you should be sweet now!
just stay safe and ride it out! it is worth it in the end better than a cage!
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

Sometimes it feels like everyone is out to get you for sure! This is the time of the year that a lot of bikes come out of winter hibernation, the general car driving population are not accustomed to seeing us , so they dont see us. Take extra care out there on the roads.

As far as the apple on arm incident, that really gets me boiling mad! Anyone that throws things out of cars with scant regard for the environment (read smoke butts and fires etc) or other road users needs a damn good kicking. Hate it with a passion.

Dont give up, just have your wits about you at all times.

If I were you I wouldn't get in to the habit of chasing people down and having it out - unless you are either huge or a black belt or carrying a nice amount of handy weaponry your chances of getting seriously damaged are high. Even then it may well be they are bigger and badder than you anyway.

Memorise number plates and call the cops if you feel the need, but don't try and be the hero . . .

Fact is it isn't safe to be a motorcyclist.
It is an extremely dangerous pastime.
Maybe you'll come back to it.

If you aint prepared for the "what if", then maybe riding isnt for you. Its something we all have to face now and then, but its a decision only you can make.
Everytime I take my bike out its a risk, but so is getting in my car, going out at night, or anything. I just choose to not let my life be ruined by the What ifs and be as safe as I can.

The cops do not need an address. It is a simple matter of checking the registration number which will give them all the details they require. Make a complaint of assault and see what happens. Keep following it up!

Jesus, don't you lot have many white vans round them parts?

On a serious note - next time mate just take the plate and don't bother having it out with them, it's risky business, and will only end in tears... or handcuffs

...unless yer into that kinky shit... then fill ya boots!
