    Makes quite a difference
    - If it applies from the day you pay the fine or lose in court then its quite smart to pay quickly as long as you wont lose your licence.

Then, if you get another ticket, your existing points will be closer to expiry.

If your new ticket would put you into loss of licence country, get your lawyer to drag the process out - you may be able to wriggle out of the existing points. ??
That was what I was lead to believe at least. But as Dschubba wrote it may not work like that anymore.

In the good old days the demerits were registred when you had paid all of your fine. E.g. if you were paying 140 bucks off by 10 bucks a week it would be 14 weeks from you lost in court 'til you got the demerits.

Perhaps they have fixed this "bug" - but I wouldn't know, I haven't been down that road... yet.

I think your friend is a bloody hoon and disgrace to society...

Maybe suggest that they trade to a GN or a Harley Sportster if they dont want to get a track bike

Or maybe even a GN track boike......LOL

Nah, they will do what they feel they need to I guess. Still say tis a shame to sell up a bike they love to ride.

Heh, thats how i got caught at 59kmh over the speed limit, lost my licence for 28days and got slapped with $780 deducted from my savings. Paid the fine, did the time... left the bike at my mates house and caught the bus to work for a month.

The real lesson was finding out that a days bus fair was equal to half a tank of gas that usually lasted me a week for commuting.

My advice, pay the fine, take the points, pull your head in for a bit...(3)

HELL YES! I would frame the ticket, and polish up the bike and sell it for loads and loads of money - as I reckon a Chinese GN that went over 135K would be worth a lot, would probably make it into the Guinness book of Records.

Then I'd use the money I got from the sale to pay the fine, and probably buy about three new bikes.
