I noticed some of the Chinese bikes have pretty bulky caliper setups, but that's a bit of a joke.

And the size of the front disc, that's off one of their pocketbikes!

Single piston front, dual piston rear?

Haha, with that kind of improvisation, I wonder what's replaced the piston

I noticed on a Zongshen (or some other chinese brand, that's the only one I can think of) that the rear wheels hub was cast off a drum brake but they put a disk brake right next to it

    capable of at least 90km
Is that as far as it will go before catastrophic failure?
    Cheers,

boy .. don't you know anything?

You sit with your weight over the back wheel - thats why it needs the most powerful brake

Just like a milkshake, only brake fluid.

1000 ocilations per minute the brake fluid would be so aerated that the twin piston design would be weaker than the single with its resevoir on the bars.....

I put the seat on the bottom, it says to do that in the manual.

Odd looking fairing? Maybe that is to assist braking?

Yep, same on mine, it has a large single piston on the front and 2 small pistons on the back.

Thank god my fluid reservoir isn't in that same spot, mines tucked away safe behind the pillion peg.

And Coyotes right, I just looked at the rear hub on my bike and it is cast for a drum brake, and fitted with a disk.

When I first looked I just assumed it was someone doing a backyard improvisation. But now I have read the thread are you telling us that this was done deliberately when the bike was made????
    Somebody designed it that way?!?!?
