What happened that required the fitting of a new air filter? I haven't come across that problem yet! You tried Botany Honda yet?

Otherwise, I know of a few overseas sites you could try

Is it a paper air filter or a foam air filter?

The Honda shops up here in Auckland should stock them or at least get them in when ordered.

Botany Honda in Botany Downs, South Auckland.
Wild West Honda in New Lynn, West Auckland.
Couple of Honda shops over on Barry's Point Road, Takapuna.

gijoe1313 - after 82,000kms you should have cleaned your air filter a few times by now!!!!!

the filter element is paper with a stainless steel surround which seals on a rubber ring

    Dont wet the paper......

I believe that you can clean them up and reuse it until your new one arrives.
But I am not sure how you clean up the paper ones.

I have a foam air filter on my bike..... real easy to clean up and only just replaced mine after 106,777kms and a few cleans before replacement.

Can you by chance post a picture up of your air filter?

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

An OEM paper one should last quite a few years if looked after.
