    Good night, gone bad!

Ok, hi to all. Just thought id give ya all a laugh. Now for referance all this can be put down to being impatiant, so be warned, If you wanna do something DONT be impatient and skip on the basics. Do it right, First time every time ! LoL

So, my bike. The ExuP fighter thing, well if youve built a fighter you know theres a line between what works good and what looks good and you have to make a choice. Well I took a choice, and that headlamp unit sux BIG time !
Its Useless, worse than useless. Its like a candle in a jar with coloured glass !

Now I like to ride at night, and round here its getting dark at around 1600 hrs right now so Im doing lots of riding where the lights are on for a reason. So, what do ya do.....Yup, you get some auxilary lights. So these lights are like micro size but useing High Tech bulbs so the light from them is like way better than what ive got right now( two 35watt )

So ive got two 50 watt HID lamps, and I want them on, and I want them on now. So.........I puts them on. Wired up to my running light so that they stay on with both hi and low beam. I know thats not good, I know ! But I was impatient. It would have been ok if id had used a reley switched from the feed from the running lights, but I didnt have a reley. I shoulda waited.

But WHOA those lights work ! Thats the first time ive been able to do over 130km on a back road in the dark !

But then, something goes wrong. Very wrong.........

Im on a back road, its blardy dark, and shifting some......NOW IVE GOT NO LIGHTS AT ALL ! EeeeeeeK !!!!!!!

You see Id been pulling so much power through my ingnition switch its melted ! Died ! No ignition, no lights no nothing !
So at 0130 hrs in the dark cold middle of nowhere im stuck !
LOL, I did get it running again, disconected the aux lights and hot wired it, got me home hahaha

Please dont rush your projects with impatiencs..............

I've found carrying some magic pixie dust on night rides helps.

Dude. You have to move down here. We only have 6 hours of darkness during the summer and the local councils are so down with motorcycling that we have flood-lights on all the favorite biking roads.
