where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I take it what you're meaning to ask is how is the rim attached to the hub?
The wheels are disc type, Like a V-Rod or Fat Boy but the disc is clear polycarbonate??? (riot sheild material). It's not clear (pardon the pun) if the wheels are a composite of this and alloy or completely polycarbonate with just the rims painted.

To be honest I have no idea.

If they are some form of polycarb to get the strength required they would have to be considerably heavier than a Cast aluminum wheel.

But I don't think this would really be a consideration with this type of bike.

Just goes to show imagination is really the only limit.

Busa's have transended the role of sportbikes in popular culture, as the article mentions they're the customisers bike of choice because of this. The Kanji would probably be seen as a vital part of the brand.
And we're not dealing with full time riding enthusiasts like you and me, half of the people who would be into this kind of stuff ("including fashion, style, music and entertainment ,” )probably wouldn't recognise the bike without it.
quite true. it just wouldnt be a 'busa without it

The custom market (ie chopper) in the USA is often running huge 18 inch tyres (on 18 rims) - I presume they are using a similar tyre on that Bussa.

Trick - but out of the entire colour chart they chose - WHITE - just a wee bit 'gay' for my taste.
