Days like this are why I love riding

Had to get out and get the new tyres scrubbed in yesterday before the rain came back so Obstacle and I went for a burn up Old North/SH16 to Wellsford and back via Wookcocks Rd.

What a beautiful day for it. Chicken strips are all but gone on the rear and I've cracked up 400ish km now. On track for first service before xmas holiday so I don't miss it.

God alone knows how you'd break in a thou as I'm finding it hard enough to get up to the redline without losing my licence

    my new bike

No pegs touching down so I figure I've got a bit of lean angle left as a safety margin. Front still has massive strips. The BT015's seem like pretty grippy tyres for the road and they're good in the wet too.

Yeah sucks eh! It's been raining non-stop since I got my bike on Wednesday apart from that one break in the weather.

Grippy, but they'll not last very long with some spirited riding. I managed to get through the rear BT015 on the Blade in 2000 kms, which included running it in nice and gently. And a couple of track days.

Since then though, I've had a Pilot Power which I hated and Metzler M3s which are bloody fantastic. Four track days, 5000 kms, grippy as hell (but when they do let go, they do so progressively) and shit loads of tread left.

Wow that's pretty quick. Guess I might get a bit more on the 600. I'm a bit worried I'll square them off with all the commuting so will be interesting to see how they hold up.
