Just got off the phone with Frosty. He's the kindest guy isn't he

By the way aff-man - I spoke to ricky at Mt Eden - he too seems like a nice chap.

Will first get Frosty's word. Having a few issues with schedules as I am working night shifts and everyone else works days.

Ok now who should I ring to get my basic handling skills test?

    - I took one about 3 years ago - but I've lost the certificate . And besides, I need to sit it again cos I still need some tuition. I went to the Auck Moto Club at Ellerslie.

    I DIDN'T BUY IT.

Turns out it was a piece of crap. Needed both cam chains replaced. new rear shocks, new chain, full service, new carbs, new tyres, the oil was . The only thing good about it was a metallic pearl yellow spray. With the usual scratches near the headlights.

Ricky said it's not worth it. He said it was barely worth 500. So yeah - I'm still bikeless. Guess I will buy from a shop now. Maybe Mt Eden motorcyles it self. I don't know.

What do you guys think of a FZR250? They've got one there (Mt Eden Motorcycles) they are repairing. Saying that maybe they can do that for 2500 - thats twice the price the stupid VT250 was going for

.... runs well - no problems - my arse -- I hate it when people falsely advertise.

Yes but you get the warrenty (3 months or something) and believe me it's worth it. I am gonna start saving now so that the next bike i buy comes from a dealer with a warrenty aye. Pity about the vt the guy didn't look to happy . but hopefully you'll get something. Talk to gareth he has that gf for sale

Ok - But I think I'll count my blessings and buy from a shop. Will check out that FZR250. Chris said he was the guy who bought it originally. Have any of you dealt with him?

Can you dear experienced people please shed some wisdom over this model - good and bad points : FZR250

    Thanks in advance

I personally would have an FZR250RR anyday, but I hear a few stories of breakages.

However there aren't that many around isn't there?

chris is a good bloke. But as i said make sure you get the 3 month warrenty. That way any probles would mean they have to fix. Then save your pennies and if you still going hard at the end of 3 months maybe something else or if you happy with the fzr keep it

I guess I should look a bit more closely at that FZR at MT Eden - I am a complete newbie to the bike scene. So I know nothing about models or variants. All I know is that it is a FZR and it has twin round headlamps. It is a 89 model with under 23000 k's on it. Unless someone has rewound the odometer. There is also the word GENESIS on the rear bit - connecting the seat to the tailight over the rear wheel. The fairings are a mess - and they are not going to repair them. The bike has been sitting around for a while and it is pretty dusty - really needs to be freshened up. They say the mechanical bits are great -

Any feedback and info on this bike and the good and bad variants will be greatly appreciated. It looks a bit like the bike in the pics.

The Fizzer was sold according to Chris. Hey can you or can you recommend someone who can come out to Manukau to see a bike - Its a ZZR250. It's a bit urgent as it is on Trademe and it is getting near to the buy now price. I am willing to compensate you for your time.
    Thanks
