    Calling Southland Kiwi Bikers

    Hello down there!

I have scored a 4 month secondment to Manapouri, and will be heading down at the end of next week (just before Waitangi day).

Naturally I'll be taking the Z down (the missus' and kiddie are tagging along too). Any KB'ers in the vicinity keen to show me the sights? (and the best places to buy cheese rolls?)

HondaV2 is down that way - and it's only 2 hours from Chez Scumdog.

    'bout what I expected!

2 hours aint too far. About the same time it takes an Aucklander to get home in the evening.

I don't think they consider Christchurch "southern" down there!

In much the same way as Scotsmen don't consider Newcastle or Yorkshire to be "Up Norf"

You'll have some lovely bike roads on your doorstep there. Up to Te Anau or down to Tuatapere and Riverton. Just avoid the Milford Road - death by tourist I'm afraid.

Hey dude it would be good to see ya.
I'm still no fixed abode at the mo (even worse, by bike is still parked up in Welly) but if you're in CHCH flick me a txt.

    Drum,
You wanted to get in touch with HondaV2. He's a great guy and will introduce you to the Te Anau riders

Funnily enough the somewhat primitive slipper clutch on the TL just kicks in for no reason if i head south from dunners.

Thinking of heading out to Manapouri today. Will go even if it's drizzle but will turn back if it's a downpour.
