    A Wow! BMW

I've just spent most of the afternoon on this.

    Ooooooooh. I'm hyper. Quite superb.
I've almost got its groove and I tell ya - it's a bit of me.

Big and mega comfortable for a tall man. And I just love naked motorcycles. Ah don't want no screens or bodywork - I just want to sit on a motor and go - and boy does this thing go.

It's like the R1200S in some regards.

It's a thing of beauty when the power output is in harmony with its 1200 twin torque - schtonk at its best at 5,000rpm (and climbing) in 3rd and 4th gear.

Quite rapid when those power and torque planets align.

    It's BMW NZ's test bike.

It only has 500km on it so I have been treating it fairly and it is loosening up with every Km.

Handling wise I think it has the lightest front end I've ridden - not twitchy, but the steering has a feather touch, conversely, big countersteering it and letting it 'fall' into corners and that motard way of swivelling from further down as you kiss the mirrors is stifff eeee.

Details as they come to hand.

And I changed it back. I think 1024px is perfectly acceptable. I will compromise and make it 800 however.
    Not my preferred option.

    Just outstanding photography.
Good muted colours on the bike for an overcast day, and that tree framing the right of the picture is very nice. Let's hope they put it on a right-hand side page, so it looks all cool and page-ripped arty.

One day I'll have a bike that nice.

That frame has plenty of gaps you could shove all manner of birds in.

Why limit yourself to just one type of bird I say!

I want one. There's something wrong with me.

    It's ...
    a, German
    b, A BMW for god's sake
c, A shaftie - not bad, especially, but a bit weird
d, An opposed twin, or whatever they are called
e, A BMW, in case you didn't get it the first time

Am I getting old? Pretentious? It's maybe a tad motard but. Shit. I want one.

Saw one of those on a trip up to the nelson rally going via Reefton, interesting machine, would sit real nice in the garage as the toy bike to take out once in a while.

I count 'em every day man.
Some of the gigs I have coming up are jaw dropping.

Solid copy, tight word count, editable from the bottom with a humorous or anecdotal bent that doesn't get in the way of salient technical data, innovative, crisp pictures and get it in 3 days before deadline.
Helps if you can ride a bit. All I can tell ya.
