    Simply not good enough.

The bike's geared for 300kph at redline in sixth.

    Which is silly.

One tooth down on the front will bring that 5000rpm torque peak a little closer for everyday Coro GP and flying motorway quarter-mile use.

You've obviously done some homework. I'll be interested to see your results. Beyond has a lot of experience hauling these beasties around twisty bits, you'll have to PM him and do a comparo, I think he still has standard gearing, but he's done something to his one I think.

You only need two tools in life:
Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't.
WD-40 if it doesn't move and it should.

Failure comes from too little brute force, or
    too little ignorance.

Brutifull....ditch the Kenworth-sized drain-(nay, stormwater) pipe. Stealth mode might be fine for Tokyo...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Just like in the picture. Plain black and un-blung (yet) in all its fourteen hundred cubic centimetre glory.

    And, of course, adorned with:

New bike smell, new bike smell, oh my oh my oh my!

    Anyone want to buy a 1999 GSX-R750?

Frankly, if the bike was being delivered with such items already fitted, my head would be in danger of exploding from the overload of sheer awesomeness.

One wants to approach these matters gently, one step at a time, savouring the mouthfuls of two-wheeled nirvana in manageable bite-sized chunks.

Hmm, it's buried in HDTboy's garage with my GSXR at the moment, and he hasn't replied to my txt about whether a retrieval mission will be possible this weekend...
