Good call on dumping the cans but why replace 'em with another two when one would suffice? A 4-1 full system would give better results for a similar price and less weight compared to two replacement cans.

All the same it should be a much more sprightly ride with re-gearing and less lard, well done sir.

Because some people want to improve their midrange performance rather than just doing the normal top end improvement of a 4 into 1(at the expense of mid-range) that you can't use on a daily basis.

You'll find, from a rider's perspective, that it's not the noise per se, but what it does. Resonance at certain positions in the rev range can be, well, resonantly resonant. I recommend wearing very good ear plugs if you plan a significantly extreme aural conquest.
