Internet is so big nowdays, there's all sorts of information both correct and incorrect information - I think most people would agree you're a retard if you relied on it. Most people with access here would understand that concept.
what's the difference to people turning up to ride and talking shyt and giving poor advise, or in a pub?

because talking in person or in a pub there are other things like body language that let the reciever in on a thing called credibility. The internet is a dangerous place to search for advice for sure, but somewhere along the line you have to take something at face value.
