My bike turned one (thousand) today

To celebrate the sunny weather and crossing the 1000km mark I gave my bike a wash to clean off all the shit from the recent rainy weather.

Then I thought she'd better get taken out to stretch her legs and shake off any water the towl down (with a chamois) didn't take care of.

    Isn't she beautiful?!

(crap phone camera but you get the idea)

Yeah I was gutted I didn't have a decent camera on me to make a 2009 KB calendar shot of it.

It's the road down to the wharf on the way out to Huia. Looks like a nice bit of road when you turn off but there's grit/gravel all down the tightest bits. Was slip sliding all over the place going 15km/h in first. Then there's the cages that tear round there even though it's 1.25 lanes wide....

Found there is heaps of exposed tar on the Huia road and it looks like they're getting ready to add new chip in some places. Pays to be wary if you head out that way.

make me blush man. Know how you feel. It's how DMNTD makes me feel every time I see *another* new bike.

Thanks.. I'm finding my passion for photography mixes well with my passion for riding. As does my passion for music thanks to my iPod - no guitar on the bike tho.

I love it when a plan comes together -
