Welcome to KB, the place overinundated with would-be back-yard bush-lawyers who will (freely) offer their particular brand of "law knowledge and advice", some of it dating back to pound/shilling&pence days - and almost as much use.

All things considering you MAY well get diversion - do something about your licence status before your Court appearance and it will add brownie points to your benefit.

Love your sense of humor refering to you KB name DILZ (I assume this is a play on DILL - or is that just an Aussie thing)

maybe we can imortalise you into KB'ana :- "to do a DILZ"

kinda like the immortal "Disco Corner" in Auckland.

Best you look at advancing the ladder pronto mate, seriously! to borrow a phrase "JUST DO IT!" You are not the only one riding around on a bigger than legally allowed to bike, but 6 years???? Get a move on! Will all look like good brownie points when you appear in court.

This is very good advice! Add a few $ to your fine bill but well worth it.

PS: I borrowed the title from your own words......live and learn springs to mind here! Best of luck with it!

I just hope that with the rest of your riding you don't do anything as stupid.

It could cost a lot more than a trip to the court..............like a trip to the morgue. But I think you know that.

    Kudos for sharing that!

I'm just curious - what is a half-hearted runner? Sticking to the speedlimits - sort off...?

Anyway, as others have said good luck in court, get your license sorted ASAP and get yourself at least a 3rd party insurance.

    +1

I know it's considered lame but the LTSA recognised course could work in your favour by:

    1. reducing your time on a restricted licence to 3 months if over 25 (12 months if under), and
    2. showing the courts you're doing something responsible to change your situation.

    http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/lic...estricted.html

If you successfully complete an approved course, the length of time you must hold your restricted licence for may be reduced:

    - to 12 months for those aged under 25 years
    - to three months for those aged 25 or older.

*Disclaimer: Don't lash me for mentioning this course, I'm doing so because it's an approved LTSA course. I did it to reduce time on restricted licence but it was pretty painful as the content and delivery is very teen focused.

Depends where you're looking from. I thought she looked quite young really.
