not good. not good at all. I dont surpose you have the figures on how many of the 33 were bike only accidents and how many had cars involved?

    RIP.

Too much of this happening. Was in the Chch police station the other day (don't ask) and they have a vehicle crash death statistic. THere have already been like 15 more deaths on Canterbury roads than all of last yearr, and like 70 more on the roads throughout NZ than all of last year. Not good.

Id still like to see stats they also state if the biker was speeding, lane splitting, or hoping gaps between cars.

Surely that sort of thing effects you longevity as a biker

    Not good at all

Was riding through Karagahake Gorge last night at about 7:30pm and had to be diverted part way through to avoid Waihi. I'd say that there was yet another accident though due to the time frame

The law will be in full force very soon me thinks. 33 is a high number for any piece of road.

The problem with that road is not the speed its the twisties combined with in experience from both 4 and 2 wheel vehicles (Im not saying thats the cause of this accident) I will not be suprise if they drop the speed limit to 80 through there
    Second is the fastest loser
