a litre of fork fluid all around
half a litre of brake fluid all around
(estimation here except for fuel tank and dry weight)

    so that comes to: 197kg

    interesting...

Do we really care about 3 KG's? You can skip lunch and shed that off your overall weight if you want...
Sneaky PR wording only mentions the tank of gas.. It might also need the rest of it also.

Can't get over how ugly these bikes are getting. As for the seats on them a bit of wood would be softer to sit on

"Standard" RC8 will be about $30,000....R model is looking closer to $38,000

And yes...I need one and will have one somehow
for $30K or there abouts I would expect full ohlins package and a proper tacko - all digital doesn't do it for me
    So what

DMNTD you seem well informed cheers - whether white power or ohlins sprung $30k odd is a lot of loot for this machine - tasty as it is

Well that was their first Road bike, and what they spat out, as you say has impressed a lot of people, and now this one moves from their Trail type to more traditional sport bikes... it will be very interesting to see how the new comer copes in this rather competitive market!

I mean look at what happened with their introduction of the Superduke alone...people like myself who thought they'd never cross over to the nekkid trail bike style are now completely converted and it's KTM's first attempt at such a style.

    Ok ok....back to my bourbon
Lol - turn japanese & refresh the bank account - me takes big sip to

    Where you get 12k from?

    GSX-R1000K7
    Priced from; $21,000.

Probably a fair competition point in the Jap brands.

New Retail price of $1899 for an Ohlins Shock +
2,843.10 for forks... off international websites converted to NZD

And thats 26k ish + some labour costs for a bike that will devalue faster than the KTM

Sounds distinctly like a TRX850. Including the clunk into first.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
