    New Seal on 22

Bit of $$$$$$$$ been spent on 22, some new seal laid,

from Rangiriri - glenmurray turn off, south onlong 22 past the Mobil Country Garage, along as far as the base of the hill, just past the old Glen Murray School.. and just North of Naike hall.. seals been down for a while, but still few piles/trails in the middle of road and on some of the corners...

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Keep an eye out round Monument rds and Miranda/Mangtangi area tomorow.

hey people, big event on which may cause some problmes on the above rds tomorow, big trail ride see link..http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=26253.

will be heaps of car/trailer/van combos on these rds and some of the trail ride crosses from Farm to farm via road crossings.. take care.

Turn off to Hunuia Rd from Lyons Rd

Just came through there this afternoon. Deep gravel has been laid at the turn off for about 4-500 metres.

I managed to ride through it without incident but a bit of umming and arrrrghing to start with.

And still there this afternoon....... including a fresh patch further south right in the middle of the corner with LOTS of metal down........
They sure dont believe in sweeping roads, do they.....

My theory is, that the road works companies have shares in motorcyle parts.

    more new metal on 22

about 2ks south of the Onewhero golf course (which as you all know is at Pukekawa) on H/way 22 ...there is some more new pea metal , should only take about a week of milk tankers to clear it up, and further along about 2ks north of the glen murray -rangariri rd turn off from the near the bottom of the hill to just B4 the bridge more new pea metal.

OK well overdue Update on Mangakahia/Twin Bridges RD
    No new roadworks and
Mangakahia Rd Frazer's Flat Courseway (the raised piece of road between Titoki and Parakao as the road goes over the flood plains): They have finally sealed it (Fu*ken yeah, no lime ta clean of "Roxanne"). It has been swept and road marks placed, but there is still a fair bit pea-metal on it so take it easy there (Last sited 31/05/06).

Otherwise my home road is back to normal for now. Watch for cows, dead possums, hawks and all the normal kind da shit and enjoy ya selves.

Hey it would need its own page but with a bit of work it would make this process a bit easier.

I'm not great at site building but don't mind helping if people are interested.

    Maraetai - Clevedon
Not only have they done the Maraetai coast but there is also a substantial stretch just north of Clevedon. I would say it has been done a few days ago BUT I was doing my normal 100 k heading towards Clevedon and came over a rise to find a bright grey road ahead. Yes new seal unexpectedly and on a curve to boot. Thankfully most of the loose chip has found its way to the side of the road but there is enough on the main surface still to make it an uncomfortable surprise. Take care out there!

Seal repairs between Te Puna & Bethlehem, Tauranga. there's a nasty 2" seam on the city side of the works where the two surfaces are yet to be married. Bound to hurt the bones on harder riding front ends...its asphalt at the moment so bound to be slippery if wet for a while after its re done.

    Clevedon Maraetai Road

I also got a bit of a suprise on the Clevedon Maraetai road on the section between Clevedon and the Log Cabin heading toward Maraetai beach. The majority of the loose stuff is gone but there are still no road markings and the surface was quite loose and a bit slushy.

Also Dominion Road in Papakura has had patches each about 50 metres long done in the last week. They too have quite a bit of loose seal on them and no road markings either.

This has now been completed to a decent standard.

    SH1 between Kiakoura and Blenheim

7 stretches of unsealed patches as well as gravel pits alond State Highway 1. makes for intersting driving so I would hate to know what riding is like.

Seddon bridge is under major reconstruction, expect delays of up to 15mins

    Careful riding guys.

    Papakura digs deep..again

A Total stuff up of Settlement Road in Papakura continues. Yesterday 11/12 the section adjacent to the cemetry looked more like a motorcross track than a road. All dug up soil, stones and dust. The new traffic lights were working though!
