Thanks Rainbow Wizard & Madandy That what this is here for. If you see a road hazzard report it here. If you ride it regularly, update it. You might save a non-local KB'er a lot of damage.

Saw this posted by FF on 28/1/05 on another thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...&postcount=104 ) so I've put a copy here just in case other KB'ers have not read it:

    2) about 3 kms from Glen Murray school on top of ridge south bound
road breaking up due to logging trucks turning in road.
    Logging operation signs displayed.

    3) Lots of lots of pea metal near Rotowaro Rd left turn about 4-5 kms from
Waingaro springs, just past 45 kph corner sign.

    4) Coming back the afternoon( about 15.00hours) worst section of wet
tar seems to be from Glen Murray school toopuaita stream.

Have decide to give a "Good" rep point for anyone who posts useful road condition info in this thread. Be sure to date when you last saw that piece of road (to be useful it needs to be current), where the road is located in NZ, and where the road hazard is on that road (as best you can).
Keep up the good work dudes

02-02: Top of Picton Elevation SH1: They are widening the road up there and there is
a hell of alot of dirt and gravel strewn across the
road. Beware as with the rain its more like
clay/mud so not nice to ride on.

04/02: SH1: Just before leaving the 50km/hr area in Kiakoura there is a hell of a lot of road works with just gravel no seal. You can avoid the most of it by going through town and out the back way.

04/02: SH1: Just after Omihi, they are putting in another passing lane, so be prepared for stops and a bit of pea-gravel strewn across the road

04/02: SH1: Just on top of Picton elevation they are still doing the bridge extension so lots of dirt all over the show. This looks to carry on for a while.

No worries RIB, I do it for the safety of other riders, not for the rep.

    BTW

06-02: SH6: Still some road works heading up the Rai hills 22kms out of Rai valley. Lots of dirt and gravel on the road, plus a lollipop stop.
