    Ah, but of course

Yep, that works for me. I much prefer going that way (like the time I accidentally diverted two thirds of the group up over Dyers Pass and over Gebbies.... ) than going out through Halswell, so yep, that's got my vote. Meal at Duvauchelles again? And do we have to ring ahead of time and advise them of our arrival en masse?

Ultimately it's each persons own responsibility to ride responsibly and to choose how they will behave on the ride. I will go at my own pace (which is pretty slow) and others should do the same. They shouldn't try to outride their abilities. I feel like a broken record!!

Anyway, I want people to enjoy themselves. Someone trying to ride faster than their abilities isn't going to have much fun, but in the same vein someone being forced to ride slower than they want to isn't gonna have much fun either. That said I will always take it easier on a Weds ride and leave the "blats" for another time.

I want to make 1 change for this weeks ride though. I think we should have a volunteer for a tail end charlie. This person will ride at the back for the ride and ensure noone gets left behind. I know some people have been doing it anyway, but I think the whole group should know who the TEC is so, for example if someones planning on going another way or leaving the ride early they can let the TEC know. Also the rest of the group can see that everyone has arrived at the re-group points (or the destination) as the TEC has arrived.
It doesn't really work on the way home cause people bugger off all over the place and the group splits up alot but thats ok.

So...any volunteers for this week? (we'll rotate cause noone wants to do that every week)

I don't mind being the Charlie...... Last week every bike there was capable of running rings around mine..... All I would like to know is the cell phone number of the Road Captain so I can leave a msg if we have a problem. I usually carry a few tools, a puncher repair set and a first aid kit but I can see I should throw in a few metric bits as well.

Transalper sent them an email - he forwarded a copy of it to me. So yeah, pretty sure they'll know we're coming (if they check their emails), so no excuses for not being prepared

Hahahaha, anyone that thinks there's gonna be a show will be sadly dissappointed. I'm not obliged to explain anything to anyone... I'm going for a ride, and that's it...

If the weather's anything like what it's doing at the moment there's no chance the ride will be graced with my presence...

Wont be able to make it this week.

Bikes not exactly going to shit hot at the moment. It consumed 1L of oil in 15km's today.

Im pretty sure I know where its dripping from. The only problem is that it only drips when the bikes running and now it wont start and stay running. The oils to low I assume. Makes a sewing machine sound to Ahh well. Shouldnt be to hard to fix. Heres hoping its just the oil filter cover seal leaking, not the belly pan.

Yeah, weather sucks at the moment. Southerly dying out is what the met is saying... I might be better off doing a repeat of last week if it's still hanging about... the poor little RGV isn't much fun in the wind on the way to little river
