So is the plan to head towards the hill then?
passing thru Halswell?

Have a good ride team, bit to much on to make tonight![]()
Gold Diggers....like hookers just smarter
Good ride tonight for me, only went as far as little river then rode back and had a beer at the Halswell pub, looks like not a bad spot to have as a stop for some shorter rides over winter.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
Great to see everyone, meet the new comers, and chit chat for a while. What a good turnout. Hope you all enjoyed the ride tonight. Kudos to those there who are so good with the less experienced - Jmemonic especially. Thank you.
I took my Little Boy home and then rode out to Wheatsheaf, plan was to go on to little River and try and meet up with the group but it was getting too dark for me, so I had a coffee there and then cruised back home. Feeling a lot better about riding in the dark - it's easier when I have my lights on full, rather than following others, and I just take it easy.
Home with a sparkle in my eye again - it feels like forever since I've been out. Rode past a couple of police cars and had to overcome my impulse to check my seatbelt.Senility ...

Had a great ride tonight it was a nice night for riding apart from the wind. Had a blast riding with Rashika, you should come more often. I don't even mind being pass by two women what a laugh
I only went as far as little river as well tonight and went back to the Halswell pub for a beer and a natter. Great time, had a smile on my face most of the ride thanks people. It was good to meet the new faces as well.
yep thanks to all who attended
You got home alright then, good to meet ya![]()
Excellent ride, what can I say? Loving the ZX-6R. The gravelley stretch heading up towards Hilltop wasn't too much fun, but everything else was beaut. I made sure I stayed behind phoenixgtr so I didn't go too fast too soon, but I found that it was so good to ride through the twisties, so well planted, that even in the dark I never had any trouble at all. Can't wait to get the brakes sussed and have another trip over the hill in the daytime!
Cheers phoenix for the bike swap, it was good to be able to feel the differences between the two bikes. Good for education and making both bikes better
P.S. Was good to see you show up too Rashika, haven't seen you for ages!![]()
Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.
You musta been.... high. You musta been...
awwww shucks guys![]()
I do try to get out more, just hard having a 4.30am start the next day all the time. At least I've been along for a few now. Is there one more before daylight savings starts?
And i really enjoyed the ride tonight, the sunset was just incredable reflected on the hills, and watching the clouds flow over the top was cute, tho the strong winds were not the best.
Had a moment at the end of the mad mile on the way back when i dropped down a gear and noticed the bike didn't seem to slow down and thought 'what?' then realised the wind was so strong it was pushing me into the corner. And with the sun gone it was a little weird to be in the dark. My regular lights are pitiful tho full beam are excellant... so full beam it is for me i think from now on.
But a lovely night, good to catch up briefly with a few people and meet a few newbies. One day we will have to do this in the daylight!![]()

Whats the chances ?
if it all slows up in the winter , and not many going on the night rides .
Hows about the same but a sat arvo ......?
Was another good ride, would have been even better if not for the wind, the run home seemed to go on forever.
Was just thinking for the darker rides coming up, doing a loop out through the bays and Gebbies to somewhere like the Halswell Tavern might indeed be a nicer way to go, finishing nearer or in town.

Apart from that wind-we all had a good ride ehDont think Dr Jekell liked the wind much.....
it made my night seeing your happy smiley face enjoying your new wheels
And yeah it was great to see you Rashika
Sounds just fine to me
Could be a goer. From the looks of things my bikes going to be sitting in the garage over winter, only to come out on the weekends.
I had a pretty crap ride last night. Things aren't gelling and I'm doubting my riding ability more and more, which is just making it even worse. I really need this rider training weekend
