Its the Ulysses Ambulance run. Last years run was a blast, the 2 years before was a wet trip. And yes before you say it the HD does go out in the rain, sometimes, ok rarely.

I won't make it tonight - my muffler is at the shop getting some love.

Have a good one guys - be safe out there and remember that it'll get dark really early.

    Just call me egor

Unfortunately it will be going dark by the time we leave the carpark. Stupid winter!!

Not fussed on which route to take tonight. The Halswell pub does seem to be a good finishing point though

Got to admit a blat around the bays/Summit/Tunnel what ever and finish about Halswell pub is more appealing than a long trek back to chch after stoping out of town.

And an expensive one it was too! Hope it was worth it... not that it's worth convincing either of you guys to spend less on eating out. I'll just carry on my merry way of bring my crumby sandwiches to work. They're nothing flash but I'm prepared to make them the night before and so save money for other stuff. But then, I've been skint for so long I've had to bite every coin, haven't had the luxury of being able to afford to buy lunch

The chicken burger I had at the pub was excellent. Nearly as good as the ride, which was quite good too. Good to see there are still some game enough to brave the lack of daylight savings and cooler air temp! Though once it starts getting frosty we'll probably have to flag the CWNR until it warms up again - downright dangerous with black ice lurking in that next shadowy corner...
