Sounds like you live too far north most bikers wave down here, mind you it is funny how what you ride makes riders minds up if to wave or not.... on the Guzzi other Iti riders and sport bikers all bikes really wave but on the storm Iti's dont seem to bother nor do HD's

Well I was out today we went out Clevedon and then down to Miranda, (hmm thats a nice ride.) I waved or nodded at everyone I saw, only one didnt wave back. But when we parked up, its funny whose bike out of the group I was riding with gets all the attention. IT WASNT MINE. It was the bright yellow 749 Duc, lololol. They seem to draw people in. I really wouldnt worry about it. Just wave at everyone.

For all those non-wavers, this is for you:
Did you consider that the sporties would drop their bikes if they took one hand off the clip-ons at slow speed

Easy! I went on a 350km ride today and saw 9 other bikes coming towards me, I was on a Harley, waved to them all and got about 3 waves back, - and one was on a BMW!

You arsehole! it's old guys like you that refuse to be born again and won't wave that cause others like riff-raff to wonder why they are not getting waves - and then they'll end up just like you!

I don't wave !! .. I can't ... ..I'm too busy holding all the loose bits & pieces on my bike so that they don't fall off ...

Came up behind an old crapper tootling up a hill last sunday and gave a wave as I went past.
    He didn't wave back :confused2
Then saw he only had one arm - the left one

Now that would make a bike difficult to ride for any length of time.
Still you must get used to it.

I occasionally wave, but mostly I just nod. I think commuting people are less likely to wave because of the traffic and just using their bike for transport, than say if they were on a weekend ride.

    Ummm, one word... throttle?

Unless he had a special lefty throttle, how could he do anything? Let alone use the front brake!?
